Echoes was born in fall 2010 so I could share bits of my story that speak God’s story. I’m trusting that my words will bring perspective and hope to your story. Every Thursday morning a new post awaits you. You’ll want to join our Echoes of Grace community so you never miss one.
I write to personally process my life through the lens of God’s grace. And I write to invite you to understand your life through the lens of grace as well.
Bill and I were hitched in 1972. Yup, that makes me Mrs. William Tell, a great name if you want people to remember you. We have two sons, two delightful daughter-in- laws, five GRANDS and one Golden Retriever named Lexie.
I’ve lived in NJ; I’ve lived in CA, and three states in between. But now Colorado is home. The picture on the home page is Lake Irene, in Grand Lake, CO. Water always invites me to its God- created beauty and to listen for his voice. These rare Colorado gems are a gift to me.
Ministering next to Bill and ministering to women fills my time and looks different every day. Often it is talking about the gospel over coffee at our local coffee shop – perhaps my favorite setting. Sometimes it is connecting online or filling my role as adjunct faculty for Trueface (thank you technology); often it is hospitality – another favorite. Writing is a significant part of my ministry and Echoes of Grace and other blogs I post on is how that is lived out. I love facilitating retreats (click Sabbath-Living above). And speaking pops up on my calendar sometimes too.
Like you, I wear many hats.
“What marvelous love the Father has extended to us!
Just look at it—we’re called children of God!
That’s who we really are.”
I John 3:1, The Message translation
This is my all the time, always in season hat, child of God, the truth from which the rest of my life flows. One of the favorite parts of my day is the stillness of mornings, my times of listening, my time spent with my Father, my friend.
