WELCOME to Echoes of Grace. I’m so glad you stopped by.
Echoes was born in fall 2010 so I could share bits of my story that speak God’s story. I’m trusting that my words will bring perspective and hope to your story. New posts appear on Thursdays, but not every Thursday. You’ll want to “follow” Echoes of Grace so you never miss a post.
I write to personally process my life through the lens of God’s grace. And I write to invite you to understand your life through the lens of grace as well.
Bill and I were hitched in 1972. Yup, that makes me Mrs. William Tell, a great name if you want people to remember you. We have two sons, two delightful daughter-in- laws, and six GRANDS.
Leah Jane Tell was born April 17, 2020.
Isn’t she precious?!
I’ve lived in NJ; I’ve lived in CA, and three states in between. Now Colorado is home.
Motivated by Psalm 16:ll, I collect pictures of paths.
“You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
Ministering next to Bill and ministering to women fills my time and looks different every day.
I can summarize it with three concepts. These three feed each other.
Writing.
Cross-Generational Friendships.
Speaking.
Cross-Gen friendships often happen talking about the gospel over coffee at our local coffee shop – perhaps my favorite setting. Sometimes it is connecting online, thank you Zoom. or filling my role as adjunct faculty for Trueface (thank you technology); often it is hospitality – another favorite. Writing is a significant part of my ministry and Echoes of Grace and other blogs I post on is how that is lived out. I love facilitating retreats (click Living-Loved above). And speaking pops up on my calendar sometimes too.
Like you, I wear many hats.
“What marvelous love the Father has extended to us!
Just look at it—we’re called children of God!
That’s who we really are.”
I John 3:1, The Message translation
The above scripture communicates my all the time, always in season hat, favorite hat. Being a child of God is my identity and from there my message flows. One of the favorite parts of my day is the stillness of mornings, my times of listening, my time spent with my Father, my friend.
We’re dog lovers. Molly is our newest adoptee.
